The condition was very poor and once the old paint was removed large areas of rotten timber was revealed. This meant that the old facia board needed to be removed and replaced.

New facia boards were fitted using screws rather than nails. All screw heads were filled using 2 part wood filler and any knots in the timber were treated with knotting solution to prevent sap bleed.

Finished boards were firstly primed using an oil based wood primer, then a full undercoat and finished with a flexi gloss top coat. New gutters and brackets were fitted once the paint was dry. All work was carried out by Southampton Painting.
