A galley table on a motor yacht was a bit on the large side given the size of the galley overall. It needed to be reduced in size from a rectangle to a smaller circular shape. This entailed cutting out a circular template from a piece of 9mm plywood and using this to cut out the circular shape on the table itself. A router was used for this with a 12mm straight flute cutter and a 30mm guide bush . The hinges that connected the flap then had to be re-sited and the mechanism used to keep the flap open as well as closed with a clip was re fitted.
The edging around the old table was machined off the remaining off cuts and will be used again as edging on the circular table.
