An original Victorian wardrobe without the doors was repurposed into a bookcase .
The wardrobe carcass was basically all that remained of the original interior to this room.
The doors had been removed and disposed of and the carcass was just about to be removed as well.
The room was now surplus as a bedroom so was being converted into an office space .
The customer wanted the space to have a bookcase for their various work related files etc and I immediately saw the potential of using the old wardrobe as the bookcase.
Interior wise both left and right shelving strips were fitted to allow for the shelves to be fixed at any height so that the maximum amount of storage was achievable; these strips enable incremental height adjustments +/- 20mm.
Pine lipped 18mm MDF was used for the shelves.
